Keeping track of your tubes of oil color is important not only for reordering but also as a reference list for building minimal palettes. Attached to this page are jpeg forms to print and add to a notebook. A jpeg form for each is attached: Black Pbk, Blue PB, Green PG, Red PR, Orange PO, Yellow PY, Purple/Violet PV, Brown Pbr and White PW. I find it's helpful to tag my unique pigment oil tubes with a sharpie for easy searching in my box. Once you have all your tubes catalogued, then make boards with a swatch of each fairly thick, thin and with titanium white. Mark up your board with pigments and numbers and keep a matching list for brands amd tube names. I have many PR101, PY43, PR108 etc. After your catalogue is complete, you will be more aware of the many unique pigments you do not know anything about. Happy shopping!
