Gail's color palettes are well thought in minimal pigment choices. The first and most used palette was quinacridone magenta, phthalo blue, emerald green, Indian yellow, perelyne red and a titanium zinc oxide mixed white. Challenging oneself with minimal colors not only pushes an artist to mix more indepentely of premixed tubes, but also helps to keep a palette more unified. Each simplified palette has range with limitations. Depending on the season, light or mood Gail will find the fewest colors to represent a composition.
