Sidesaddle Portrait by Gail Guirreri was selected to show at the National Sporting Library and Museum art show, Sidesaddle 1690-1935. The show is open to the public from September 8, 2018 through March 24, 2019. The show was curated by Claudia P. Pfeiffer, George L. Ohrstrom Jr. Curator of Art along with guest curator Dr. Ulrike Elisabeth Weiss. Dr. Weiss was the 2016 John H. Daniels Fellow, University of St Andrews (UK).

The show includes 60 paintings, sculptures, works on paper along with 2 sidesaddles showing the evolution in pommel structure. "There is nothing more elegant and brave than a lady in sidesaddle habit galloping across the countryside. I was inspired to paint the Meath Sidesaddle Portrait depicting an Irish hunter ridden by Amory McMahon jumping out of a deep ditch. The originial photo was by Karen Monroe of Middleburg Photo after their first trip to document the Queen Ann Hunt. There were 52 ladies riding aside that year. This canvas is 5' tall, allowing one to witness the effort and elegance as if being there in person."
