Gail will attend this year's Upperville Colt and Horse Show as a vendor on the hunter side. Painting subjects will include horse and rider from last year's show. If you would like to see your horse included, please contact Gail soon! Photos from years past are being loaded to championhorsephotos.com. Hand painted and UK production silk scarves, silk cushion covers, fabric by the yard and a hand painted dress will also be on display. Be at the leadline to see a hand painted dress in the ring. Gail will aslo be painting live for an hour daily at 2pm. Come sign up for your next commission.

Upperville Painting References

Grey Horse Composition in Neutral Palette

The life size Grey Horse Composition is a 62"x92" linen canvas completed by Gail in the summer of 2024. The initial request came from Tiffany Lee in November 2023. Much time was taken to find just the right pigments to match the neutral tones for the magnificent cathedral ceiling living room of her and her husband's new modern home in Loudoun County, VA. The canvas needed to work with the room not only in color but also in composition. A dynamic pose was needed to capture ones attention without overhwelming the simplicity and elegance of the space. Gail painted the canvas on sight to adjust values to the actual light coming in the west window with grand views of a large sky and Blue Ridge mountains.
