Hunt Country paintings by local artist Gail Guirreri-Maslyk, primarily depicting OCH hunt, are available for purchase at Larkins tack repair shop in Marshall, Virginia. Saddle maker Lukas Berg joined Maryalice Larkin Matheson Thomas opening a much needed shop in February 2020. The clean sunlit shop is just east of the light on the north side of RT55. Store is open most days 8-5 and the phone is 540-364-8297.

Grey Horse Composition in Neutral Palette

The life size Grey Horse Composition is a 62"x92" linen canvas completed by Gail in the summer of 2024. The initial request came from Tiffany Lee in November 2023. Much time was taken to find just the right pigments to match the neutral tones for the magnificent cathedral ceiling living room of her and her husband's new modern home in Loudoun County, VA. The canvas needed to work with the room not only in color but also in composition. A dynamic pose was needed to capture ones attention without overhwelming the simplicity and elegance of the space. Gail painted the canvas on sight to adjust values to the actual light coming in the west window with grand views of a large sky and Blue Ridge mountains.
